Changes to myIR GST service

April 24, 2017

The IRD are making changes to the myIR GST service.

All services will be unavailable from 3pm Thursday 2 February until 8am 7 February. During this time you will not be able to access any myIR Secure Online Services or contact the IRD through their call centres.

So what’s improving?

There will be a new section in myIR called My GST. You’ll be able to do some new things like:

  • Pay your GST at the same time you file your return, without having to log out of your myIR account to make the payment
  • Arrange GST instalment plans online, and in most cases receive immediate confirmation and approval.
  • Add file attachments online – you’ll no longer need to send them by post.
  • Choose to receive email and/or text message reminders, when your GST return and payment is due or late, to avoid penalties

Don’t have the new GST tab on your myIR login?

You may need the owner of the account to update your access. To do this, the owner will need to follow these instructions:

If the myIR account owner provided others with administrator or user access to the myIR account, and hasn’t yet reviewed and confirmed the level of access they want them to have, the owner of myIR can do this by following these steps:

  1. Login to myIR
  2. Select My GST tab
  3. Select Logon settings
  4. Select Manage additional logons and choose the staff member’s logon and change the access settings
  5. Then add accounts (GST) access to the User/Administrator

If the owner doesn’t confirm the access levels the administrators and users won?t have access to the improved GST online services.
