Like all of us you will have been inundated with numerous emails regarding the current COVID-19 crises.  Many of your businesses have already, or will be affected, below are specific examples of how we can help:

  1. COVID-19 Wage Subsidies and Leave payments*
  2. Finance applications to see you through the tough economic environment
  3. Supplier issues
  4. Cashflow and forecasts
  5. Tax liabilities

Included below are a list of resources that we have found helpful specifically relating to COVID-19.

  1. Ministry of Social Development Employer COVID -19 Wage Subsidy and Leave payment information sheet *

*It should be noted that applying for these subsidies has been made very easy and is being administered under a high trust model.  You will need to declare you meet the eligibility criteria for payment as part of your applications.  ALL payments will be subject to audits and reviews per Ministry of Social Development.  Where false or misleading information has been provided, employers can be subject to a fraud investigation.  You can view the Employer Obligations here (Definitions for Wage Subsidy qualifications)

2. The Ministry of Health is regularly updating its information – you can view their latest updates here.

3. A Step-by-Step guide to business continuity planning courtesy of the Taupo Chamber of Business.

4. Legal requirements employers should know in managing the impact of COVID-19 in New Zealand.

5. COVID19.govt.nz – Government website with all you need to know about COVID-19 in one place.

Lastly, we would like all of our clients to know that we are “business as usual” and open in Taupo from 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.  If you have a meeting booked or you need to come and see us, but would prefer to not come into the office, we have the means to conduct a meeting virtually or on the phone.  We have actioned our internal pandemic policy and all staff have the ability to work remotely, if necessary, with minimal disruption to you.

Together we will assist you to navigate this uncertain time, so please contact your usual client manager for any further information you need.
